My kids love pizza. I love pizza, especially the quick and easy kind that the kids can pull out of the freezer and make themselves. Unfortunately I don’t get that kind of pizza too often because it’s not very healthy, plus it can be expensive especially if I buy enough to have on hand every time someone needs a quick and easy meal.
So I did a little research and found some recipes for crust, pepperoni and sauce that are not only easy, but they are a whole lot healthier and even better yet, cheaper than store bought pizza. I will admit, it’s a little time consuming… maybe more like a lot time consuming, depending on how many you make. Get the kids to help you and it will go a lot faster, plus you’ll have some good ole fun and quality family time in the kitchen. We usually spend a good portion of an afternoon making them but we like to go ahead and make up as many as possible. Ya know, it’s one of those deals where we already have the ingredients out, the mess made, so why not take advantage of that and get as many made as possible?
Here is the crust recipe:
[buymeapie-recipe id=’1′]The kids’ favorite pizza topping is pepperoni. Unfortunately it’s not a very healthy thing to eat. So when I found a healthier alternative that’s easy to make and tastes “even better than real pepperoni”, as my kids say, I was so excited. This recipe is Tammy’s Spicy Pepperoni and can be found on Tammy’s Recipes.
[buymeapie-recipe id=’2′]Last is our favorite sauce recipe. It’s super easy and fast to mix up, plus we think it’s one of the best tasting sauces we’ve ever made.

Now we have 32 single serve pizzas in the freezer ready to slap in the oven, then slap on a plate and call it supper… that’s my kind of cookin, especially during the busy days of summer.
