Well… right now my garden kinda resembles the crusty bottom of a dried up lake. The struggle has been real… but I’m not giving up!

The tomatoes aren’t looking so great so it’s time to get them planted. Dylan’s been doing more work on his go cart and it’s starting to take shape.

We’re having another get together with the family with lots of food, games and relaxation! There’s even a bonus tutorial on how to do a facial mask complete with cucumbers… can’t forget the cucumbers for the eyes, ya know! 😉
The winter storm made it here and it turned out to be everything it was predicted to be. It was the perfect day to stay inside and make candy. The turkeys roosted outside the evening before the storm came but then decided that the barn is a much nicer place to be once the wind picked up and the snow started to fall.
Well, it was one of those days where we really should have just given up, went back to bed and started the day over again. But despite the rough start, the day actually turned out pretty good and best of all we got the majority of our Christmas baking done.
Making gingerbread houses is a fairly new tradition for us that started several years ago. It’s turned into a great way to make memories and spend time together during the Christmas season. This year we found gingerbread barn kits so we got a couple to try out. We gotta have barns and animals too, ya know?
Here’s a cinnamon roll recipe that is easy to make and turns out great every time.
It was another cold day so we stayed warm by making two different soups, one for lunch and one for supper, plus we baked cinnamon rolls.
We got some cinnamon rolls mixed up so we could spend the next day baking. In the evening I took Miley to a Christmas party and we took time to drive through the park looking at the lights.
It’s the day before Thanksgiving and there’s so much to do to get ready. Of course, we take time to get in some interesting conversations and feed the turkeys cranberries.
