Spring is finally here and we’re so excited! We’re starting to change from our winter set up to our spring and summer set up. It feels good to start having things back to normal again.

It was wonderful to see another video posted Shelly, and this one really did scream “SPRING!” You’ve all been busy getting things in shape! I’ve been wondering about the new chicks and baby goats. Sorry to hear you lost some lil’ chicks. Unfortunately that’s part of the circle of life I reckon. Everything looks great and you seemed a bit more perky and cheerful Shelly. I’m sure spring arriving has a lot to do with that. I’m certainly feeling a bit more chipper with spring on the horizon. I’m from Iowa and it’s been a long, cold, dreary, snowy winter. Now our state has flooding and it’s horrible, if it’s not one thing it’s another. I’m glad you were able to mark “milk” off your list…lol. I’m with Miley, I hate the darn mosquitoes. She (Miley) sure has grown since your introductory YouTube video. Thanks again for sharing some of your lovely farm life with us! May God Bless………….Karen

Yes, it’s amazing that spring is finally here! It’s helped brighten up the mood a lot. All the flooding that’s been going on is awful! I feel for all those involved. Thank you so much for commenting here on my blog. Since youtube has disabled comments, I feel so disconnected from everyone. I really wish they’d hurry up and get something resolved and I hope that I’m not with out comments for ever. Thanks so much!

Hey guys, whats happened to the youtube comments?! I hope it’s resolved in good time anyhow in the meantime keep up the great videos from my favourite US homesteading family 🙂

Youtube has decided to disable comments on channels that have minors in them because there were sexual predators making comments on videos with minors using hashtags, I think, that allowed other sexual predators to find the videos. I’m not completely clear on how it all came about. Anyway, any channel that has minors is supposed to be having their comments disabled. I agree that it’s a big problem and I’m all for them doing what’s needed to get it resolved and protect minors. My problem with the whole thing is I’ve been watching other channels that have minors and I’ve found very few that have their comments disabled. If they say they’re disabling comments on channels with minors, then disable them ALL and not just pick a few here and there. I’m not sure if it’s a permanent thing or they will eventually turn them back on, but I think it’s going to be something that’s going to last a while. It’s really discouraging because I feel so disconnected with everyone now. Thank you for coming here and commenting and also commenting on facebook! I’m hoping more will follow so we can stay connected.
