We made a turkey tractor and built it similar to the chicken tractor we made last year… just made it a little taller for the turkeys. Today we’re moving the poults into it and then moving the mama hen and her chicks into the old tractor.

The squash bugs have returned! Out of all the garden pests, I have to say they are the most frustrating to deal with… and the most creepy! I had a huge infestation on one of my plants and got creeped out, so I blasted them with spray. Next thing I knew, I used a whole half gallon on one plant. Good news is there were dead squash bugs when I was finished… but will my plant survive having that much neem oil on it?

Happy 4th of July and a quick update.

We’re tired of the hens roosting on their nesting boxes and pooping in them so we’re trying something different… but will they like it?
