Last Saturday was so beautiful! It was sunny, warm, very little wind… just perfect! It was one of those days where you wanted to just spend the entire day outside just resting, relaxing and soaking up the sun. Of course, around here, there’s always something to do or something that needs to be done that it’s hard to go outside and just do nothing. And Saturday was definitely one of those days! We all headed out with plans of just sitting but we found plenty of things to do to keep us busy…
Michael decided it would be a good day to get out on the tractor and spread brome grass seed over all the pasture. He planted some last fall too, and some of it came up before winter. We had some left over seed so we decided we ought to just go ahead and get it all planted. Hopefully our pasture will be full of brome grass soon.
The kids decided it would be a good day to let the chicks out of the coop to get some fresh air and free range a bit…
They had a blast exploring the yard, taking dirt baths, scratching and pecking. I can’t wait until they are a little bigger and we can let them out without having to supervise them. We have several cats who would love to have them for lunch so no free ranging for them until they get a lot bigger.
Mamma goat wanted to have rest time but the kids had other ideas…
It just wasn’t a day that was meant for resting,
instead it was a day for play!
Looks like it was a perfectly lovely day! I love the photographs in your blog-:)
